Denbigh, Denbighshire - A nvil Pottery is situated in the small village of Llanrhaeadr.Y.C and was established in 1981 by Allan Hughes and John Hughes. The pottery is based in the old smithy which is thought to have existed for many hundreds of years, although the present building may be only two to three hundred years old. All the pots are thrown on the potters wheel and the full range of domestic ware is produced, the emphasis being on use rather than ornament.
